How to Enhance Male Sex Drive and Libido Naturally
Contrary to what you might be thinking it is possible to enhance testosterone naturally with a healthy diet and an active lifestyle. Both a good diet and exercise can help you raise testosterone naturally.
Diet Changes
A good diet is extremely essential for your overall body and sexual health. Your diet should be rich in proteins. Good sources of protein include beef, chicken etc., Moreover you should limit intake of carbohydrates specially those that are rich in simple sugars and starch.
This is because such carbohydrates increase the level of insulin and cortisol in blood which affect testosterone production negatively. Moreover, you should include essential fats into your diet such as omega 3 fatty acids that you get from fish and flaxseed oil. This is because all steroid hormones are from cholesterol and when fats are deficient in the diet, this process will be inhibited.
Studies show that low fat diets result in low testosterone levels while those high in proteins, moderate in fats and lower in carbohydrates cause the greatest sustained levels of testosterone and growth hormones.

Noteworthy from Friday night's broadcast network evening newscasts which, a day after his death, spent 95 percent of their air time on Michael Jackson -- all but 1:03 of ABC's approximate 22 minutes was devoted to Jackson, all but 34 seconds of CBS and all but 1:22 of NBC, for 2:59, less than three minutes in total for all news beyond Jackson:
♦ Only ABC's World News reported how Monica Conyers, a Detroit city councilwoman married to powerful U.S. House Democrat John Conyers, pled guilty to accepting bribes. But anchor Charles Gibson, who on Wednesday night made sure to identify Mark Sanford as “a rising star in the Republican Party,” failed to name the party affiliation for either Monica Conyers or John Conyers, and neither did any on-screen graphic. Speaking of Detroit, last year, when Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was charged with felonies, Gibson (as well as the CBS and NBC anchors) didn't consider Kilpatrick's party worth mentioning.
♦ ABC also uniquely found a little time, a mere 20 seconds, to mention House action on President Obama's “cap and trade” bill.

I am curious to know how horse owners are coping with the drought. In the US Midwest square hay bale prices have risen to $6 to $8 a bale already (in my area). It is expected to reach even higher during the winter months. Most cant even find the hay to buy.
For many there was no second hay cutting or the yields were 1/3 of what they normally get. The pastures here look desert hard pan. There is little to no vegitation, even the weeds are dying. Last I heard we our over ten inches below the average rainfall!
Many people are getting out of horses entirely. Some are giving them away or giving their tack away if the people will just take the horses off their hands.
As a horseowner I was proactive and prepared early, but my friends have not and are looking on grim times.
Any suggestions from other drought stricken horse owners.

Brochure printing is one of the most popular marketing tools used by many businesses. In fact, color brochures are often utilized that they have become ubiquitous, as well as more expensive than most of the marketing collaterals available in the market. Nevertheless, many small and big companies have often turned to these collaterals because of their convenience and the strong impact that they provide.

The day I discovered my husband was cheating on me is forever etched in my mind. I will never forget my bewilderment, shock, confusion and my uncertainty about what to do next. I was totally devastated.
How I Found Out
As a freelance journalist and editor, I work from my home office. I accidentally stumbled onto Frank’s infidelity while doing interviews for an article assignment for a women’s magazine. To insure the accuracy of my notes, I always tape my interviews using a recording device attached to my office phone. While transcribing the interview tapes, I was shocked to find that I’d unknowingly recorded a number of incriminating phone calls made by Frank from our bedroom extension. Interspersed between the interviews, were revealing conversations he’d had with or about the women with whom he was involved.
A Perfect Marriage
That Frank might be cheating on me was the farthest thing from my mind, even though his behavior had been a little unusual the past few months. When infidelity did cross my mind, it was just a fleeting thought one I dismissed as quickly as it occurred. It was so far-fetched that I didn’t even give it serious consideration. Frank and I had an exceptionally good marriage (or so I thought). People who knew us even strangers, (male and female) often commented on what a “perfect couple” we were. I wrote relationship articles which appeared regularly in women’s magazines and earned me frequent guest spots on Good Day New York and several nationally syndicated radio talk shows. Our marriage (my second and Frank’s third) was the envy of all our friends. Still, I was at a loss to explain some of the odd little things Frank had recently said and done. Nothing major just small insignificant things that were out of character for him and didn’t seem to make any sense. I chalked it up to male menopause (Frank was nearing 50) or stress from the heavy overtime he’d been working. Little did I know that these seemingly inconsequential things would turnout to be telltale signs.
Right Under My Very Nose
From the conversations on the tapes, I discovered that Frank had not one, but three lovers. I was dumb-founded to hear him boasting to a friend about his weekend morning “quickies” with Alexis, his early departures from work for afternoon trysts with Michelle, Marlene’s weekend stay at our apartment while I was away on a business trip and more. Even more astounding, was that all these things had taken place right under my very nose. In light of my discovery, I now saw Frank’s behavior through different eyes. And I became keenly aware of how many telltale signs I’d missed. Many of the odd things Frank said and did suddenly began to make sense.
Wendy’s Story- Another Infidelity Victim
On one tape, Frank mentioned a birthday he’d recently attended which was given by his best friend Max. No other details were supplied except that the party was for Max’s girlfriend. Since Max’s wife, Wendy was a friend of mine, I told her what I heard. Working one single piece of information, Wendy conducted what I consider to be a masterpiece of detective work. In less than 2 weeks, she managed to find out the name of Max’s girlfriend, her phone number and address, where she worked, the address and phone number of her job, and was able to pinpoint approximately how long the affair had been going on. Wendy also found out exactly where and when the birthday party had taken place, how much it cost, the names of several guests who attended, and verified that that Max was indeed the person who arranged and paid for the event. She even confiscated a gift for Max’s lover that he’d hidden in the trunk of his car. Since Wendy and Max co-owned a business, she immediately took steps to protect herself financially by transferring the bulk of their joint funds to a separate account much to the surprise (and embarrassment) of Max when he attempted to withdraw funds without her knowledge. Their marriage survived largely because instead of sitting back and being a passive victim, Wendy immediately searched for confirming telltale signs. She found them early enough to take positive action and get her marriage back on track.
If Only I’d Recognized the Signs
Discovering that Frank was cheating was truly devastating. Being a naturally trusting person, I was oblivious to most of the telltale signs, despite the fact that they were staring me in the face. I later learned that many telltale signs begin to crop up when a man first starts think seriously about infidelity. For months I agonized over how things might have turned out differently if I’d recognized the signs when they first began to appear. It’s possible that I might have been able to save our marriage if I’d known the significance of those signs. If not, I could have at least saved myself a lot of heartaches and pain by preparing myself mentally and emotionally, and protecting myself legally and financially from a marriage that ultimately ended in divorce. Yet, my marriage was not unique in this respect. It was one of the millions of marriages impacted by extramarital affairs.
9 Years of Research and a Promise
At the time there were less than 5 books available on the subject of infidelity. Desperate for information, I endured the embarrassment of purchasing them at my local bookstore. As I struggled to make sense of what was happening, I began earnestly researching the topic of infidelity so I could find out how to handle the situation. My research led to my writing a series of infidelity articles based on information gleaned from leading marriage and family therapists. Although I gained a wealth of knowledge about and coping with infidelity and recognizing the telltale signs, for me, this knowledge came too late. Frank and I eventually got a divorce. But I promised myself that when I recovered from the trauma of that experience, I would share this information with other women in similar situations.
The Infidelity Statistics are Shocking
It was shocking read the statistics citing how widespread infidelity is. Though they vary from study to study, the most widely accepted figures indicate that between 50 and 70 percent of married men (between 38 and 53 million men) have cheated or will cheat on their wives. One study found that 2/3 of the wives (26 to 36 million women) whose husbands were cheating had no idea their husbands were having an affair largely because they failed to recognize the telltale signs. Yet the media continues to treat infidelity as a form of entertainment. Movies, novels, soap operas, talk shows, gossip columns and women’s magazines continue to dramatize, trivialize and glamorize extramarital affairs. Few people other than its victims take it seriously.
An Infidelity Book is Born – Gathering More Facts
Is He Cheating on You? – 829 Telltale Signs is the first of a series of information products for women who are victims of infidelity. It’s based on not just my personal experience, but on 9 years of in-depth research on the topic of infidelity. I’ve read thousands of accounts of infidelity, interviewed hundreds of women about their personal experiences and the experiences of women they know, and dozens of cheating men. I’ve read hundreds of articles, studies and transcripts on infidelity and spent countless hours surfing the Net checking out websites, chat rooms, forums, message boards and discussion lists that deal with infidelity and related issues. Is He Cheating on You? – 829 Telltale Signs is the result of all those efforts. It’s the book I wish I’d had when those first telltale signs began to crop up in my marriage. If I’d recognized those signs early on, things might have had a different ending.
A Multitude of Telltale Signs
Is He Cheating on You? is probably the largest collection of telltaIe signs ever compiled. It documents hundreds of signs of infidelity, including a multitude of little-known telltale signs not listed anywhere else. Despite the subtitle, it actually contains 950 telltale signs. Even after the cover was designed, I continued to add telltale signs until the final version of the manuscript was sent to the printer. And readers continue to e-mail or phone me with telltale signs that were not included in the book. What’s different about Is He Cheating on You? is that it tells women how to spot the warning signs of infidelity without using gadgets, surveillance equipment or private investigators. All of the telltale signs documented in Is He Cheating on You? can easily be found by any woman using only her eyes and ears, her personal knowledge of her husband and the information provided in the book. No special skills or equipment are needed. The signs are conveniently grouped into 21 categories so a woman can easily find the signs that apply to her husband or her marriage. A few of the signs are listed in more than one category so that no one will miss an important telltale sign.
Sharing Information with Other Women
This is my way of sharing all the information I gathered about infidelity, with other women in this traumatic situation. It’s unfortunate that any woman would ever need a book like this, but the facts speak for themselves. Millions of acts of infidelity go undetected every day. Unsuspecting women need an easy-to-use, reliable, inexpensive tool to help them find out the truth about what’s going on. I am committed to providing them with that information.
Empowered by Knowledge
Knowledge is power; and I firmly believe every woman should know how to recognize the telltale signs of infidelity. The future of her marriage may well depend on her ability to recognize the telltale signs in time. There’s nothing worse than not knowing or being the last to know. But the first step in solving a problem is knowing that the problem exists. If a woman doesn’t know her husband is cheating, there’s little that she can do. If she’s oblivious to the fact that her marriage may be in jeopardy, by the time she finds out what’s happening, it may be too late. She will have had no chance to try to get her marriage back on track, or to prepare herself emotionally or protect herself from the devastation that lies ahead. Rather than being proactive and making conscious decisions about what to do, she’ll become a helpless infidelity victim, swept along with the tide.
A Fighting Chance to Save the Marriage
On the other hand, if a woman recognizes the telltale signs and understands what’s happening, she stands a fighting chance of being able to nip the infidelity in the bud on her own, or seek professional help. More importantly, she can take steps to prepare herself mentally, financially and legally for the possibility that her marriage may come to an end. At least she won’t be taken by surprise, and end up being the “last one to know”.
Who This Book Is For
Is He Cheating on You? is not just for wives who suspect their husbands of cheating. It’s also for :
the millions of unsuspecting wives who’ve never even considered that an affair might be going on.
women who’ve been cheated on in the past want to make sure it doesn’t happen again
women who are trying to reconcile with a cheating husband and want reassurance that the affair is no longer going on
women who think it could NEVER happen to them (no one is immune)
women who know their husbands are cheating and want to get solid proof
women who want to know ahead of time what to look for, in case it ever happens to them
women who in view of the high infidelity statistics want to know where they stand in their current relationship
single women who want to avoid entering into or staying in a relationship with a cheater
Men who suspect their wives of cheating (many of the signs are universal and apply to both sexes)
people with female friends or relatives who are being cheated on and who are in denial
people who don’t know how to tell a woman her husband is cheating – give her the book and let her find out for herself
No Marriage is Immune to Infidelity
One of the most surprising things I learned about infidelity is that no marriage is immune. Infidelity knows no boundaries. “Good husbands” can cheat. Infidelity can occur even in happy marriages. It can affect couples of any race, creed, color or economic background. Rich or poor, young or old, newlywed or approaching a fiftieth anniversary – infidelity can happen to anyone – even you. The likelihood is very high that, given the current statistics on infidelity, every woman will experience being a victim of infidelity at some point in her life. So I feel strongly that Is He Cheating on You? is a reference book that belongs on every woman’s bookshelf. This is important information that no woman should be without. The future of her marriage may one day depend on her ability to recognize the telltale signs in time. Armed with this book and her personal knowledge of her husband, she’ll be able to easily spot the warning signs.
The Purpose of This Book
The purpose of Is He Cheating on You? – 829 Telltale Signs is not to make women suspicious of their husbands. The purpose is to make women aware of what’s already going on. Statistics prove that infidelity is happening all around us. Just pick up a newspaper or listen to the nightly news. Infidelity touches 80% of all marriages. It is my sincere hope that this book will open the eyes of the millions of women who are unaware that their husbands are having an affair. It was written to make women aware of the many telltale signs that indicate possible infidelity. Every woman deserves to know the truth. It’s my firm belief that if more women knew how to recognize the signs of infidelity, more marriage could be saved. With Is He Cheating on You? every wife now has an affordably priced tool to keep her from being the last to know.
A Final Word
To any woman who suspects her husband of cheating, I implore you for your peace of mind, for your physical health (think HIV/AIDS and other STDs), for your mental and emotional well-being, and for the future financial well-being of yourself and your children too find out if what you suspect is true. Don’t speculate – investigate! Take it from someone who has lived through infidelity – find out before it’s too late. Believe me, in this day and age, you can’t afford to be the last one to know.
*Frank, Marlene, Michelle, Alexis, Max and Wendy are not their real names. The names have been changed to protect the guilty as well as the innocent.
NOTE: Despite my traumatic experience with Frank, the story does have a happy ending. I’ve been happily re-married for almost5 years now, to a wonderful man who also values the sanctity of marriage as highly as I do. (Ironically, he too, was cheated on by his first wife.

Getting a body detox is gaining popularity in many health circles. Because of the toxic build up in our bodies, getting clean on the inside is a must. A typical American has years of poor eating habits, exposed to poor air quality, and has low fiber diets. Also, stress can attribute to the increase of toxins being formed in our bodies. A toxic build up in our bodies may increase the risk of sickness and disease, so it is essential that our bodies properly eliminate the toxic build up in our colon and other organs.
These toxins affect adversely the functioning of our body organs, especially the functioning of vital organs such as the liver, the kidneys, and the colon. A toxic colon eventually leads to a toxic liver, which pollutes the tissues and the bloodstream, resulting in poor health. So you can see for your body to function optimally, it must be freed from toxins.
How Do I Know I Need A Body Cleansing?
You need to take action if you have one or more of the following problems. Diarrhea, impaired digestion, constipation, fatigue and low energy, gas and bloating, hemorrhoids, excess weight, food allergies, bad breath, foul smelling stools. These are only some of the symptoms.
Many people are in the good habit of cleaning externally their body, why not also clean up regularly internally? The longer you wait to get a body detox or body cleansing, the greater the risk of developing sickness or disease. Putrefying foods in your intestines need to be eliminated quickly, so do not wait for the harsh symptoms in order to do a cleanse
Our bodies are over stressed and exposed to a lot more toxins than in the past. It is becoming impossible to eliminate all the different toxins and chemicals we ingest or inhale on a daily basis. Over time, these toxins will accumulate in our cells, tissues, organs, blood resulting in a variety of health issues. I hope you can now see that you can drastically enhance your health by simply getting a regular body cleansing.

Exercise Helps Type-2 Diabetics Lower Blood Sugar. By : Dr Christopher Segler
Diabetes can cause heart disease, stroke, poor wound healing, blindness and amputation. In addition, diabetes is associated with high blood pressure, obesity and immune system problems. In this article we examine the scientific basis of exercise as a treatment for diabetes. We also discuss the ways that diabetes can help someone to manage their blood sugar and prevent avoidable long-term complications from the disease.

The increase in porosity of our bones and the consequent loss of strength is known as osteoporosis and reduces our bones capacity to counteract normal functional activities. The bones outer layer is called the cortex and is dense and strong to resist mechanical stresses. The inner bone structure is more like a structural meshwork known as cancellous bone, with bone marrow, blood vessels and collagen tissue filling the interstices. The bony interstices become larger as osteoporosis progresses and there is a reduction in bone strength with the loss of the cross connecting struts. The whole skeleton is affected by the disease but it exhibits itself mostly in the hip, spine and wrist.
Being active and dynamic is not the typical view of the bony skeleton but it is a growing and changing tissue which is constantly renewed over time, taking between seven and ten years to complete the whole replacement. The renewal process is called bone turnover and it can be much faster to replace the entire skeleton in a child, a process which can be as short as two years. The growth plates of our long bones close around sixteen to eighteen years of age and at this time we stop gaining height and size. It is however not before the middle of our twenties that the process of increasing our bone density reaches its highest level.
The beginning of our adult life is a stable phase during which our bony structure stays static with a balance between the rate of bone formation and bone breakdown. Once we reach middle age there is a change towards an increased breakdown of bone and we start to suffer a loss of bone density, leading to osteoporotic change in some people, particularly older, post-menopausal women. Men can get osteoporosis and precipitating factors are chronic immobility, problems with absorption of nutrients such as from ulcerative colitis, asthma management by steroid use, smoking, low bodyweight and low male hormonal levels.
Osteoporotic change occurs in one in every three women during their lifetimes and so is often viewed as being a disease of women. Men are however affected by this bone condition but at a frequency of one in twelve, with 20 percent of spinal fractures and 30 percent of hip fractures attributable to lowered bone density. The lesser frequency of osteoporosis in men may be for a couple of reasons: first they develop a higher bone density to start with so start off from a better position, and they lose bone much less significantly in middle age, especially cortical bone.
Osteoporosis is a silent disease and the first indication many people get that they have the disease is the acute pain of fracture such as in the spine or wrist, often because of a trivial fall or blow. Spinal fractures cause wedging of the thoracic spine in particular, with acute pain which can be very disabling, and in some cases becomes chronic. The process of crushing and wedging can also occur quietly without dramatic pain, showing itself by the development of a spinal curvature called a kyphosis or a significant loss of height. A severe kyphosis can restrict the space in the ribcage, causing breathing and digestive problems.
45% of men with osteoporosis have no identifiable cause for their disease, with genetic factors likely to be important in the large majority of cases. Having a history of osteoporosis in the close family predisposes to having a lower bone density and an increased risk of spinal fracture. Levels of testosterone are important in the maintenance of bone density and a low concentration is a major risk for osteoporosis, with a 70 year old man only producing about half the testosterone of someone of 30 years old. Testosterone can be replaced as a treatment if a hormone specialist thinks it is necessary.
Various conditions such as asthma and ulcerative conditions of the bowel have significant degrees of inflammation which is treated by corticosteroid drugs. Bone loss can be produced by prednisolone treatment for six months so they are used only when essential. Patients should not alter their steroid medication doses without medical consultation as this can produce unpleasant side effects.

Now if you want to support comments for non-traffic-building reasons like socializing or making new contacts, I say go for it. Just dont assume that comments are necessary or even helpful in building traffic unless you directly test this assumption yourself.
Build a complete web site, not just a blog
Dont limit your web site to just a blog. Feel free to build it out. Although most of my traffic goes straight to this blog, theres a whole site built around it. For example, the home page of this site presents an overview of all the sections of the site, including the blog, article section, audio content, etc. A lot of people still dont know what a blog is, so if your whole site is your blog, those people may be a little confused.
Testing and optimization
In the beginning you wont know which potential streams of income will work best for you. So try everything thats reasonable for you. If you learn about a new potential income stream, test it for a month or two, and measure the results for yourself. Feel free to cut streams that just arent working for you, and put more effort into optimizing those streams that show real promise.
A few months ago, I signed up for an account with Text Link Ads. It took about 20 minutes. They sell small text ads on my site, split the revenue with me 50-50, and deposit my earnings directly into my PayPal account. This month Ill make around $600 from them, possibly more if they sell some new ads during the month. And its totally passive. If I never tried this, Id miss out on this easy extra income.
For many months Ive been tweaking the Adsense ads on this site. I tried different colors, sizes, layouts, etc. I continue to experiment now and then, but I have a hard time beating the current layout. It works very well for me. Adsense doesnt allow publishers to reveal specific CPM and CTR data, but mine are definitely above par. They started out in the gutter though. You can easily double or triple your Adsense revenue by converting a poor layout into a better one. This is the main reason why during my first year of income, my traffic grew at 20% per month, but my income grew at 50% per month. Frequent testing and optimization had a major positive impact. Many of my tests failed, and some even made my income go down, but Im glad I did all that testing. If I didnt then my Adsense income would only be a fraction of what it is now.
Its cheap to experiment. Every new advertising or affiliate service Ive tried so far has been free to sign up. Often I can add a new income stream in less than an hour and then wait a month to see how it does. If it flops then at least I learned something. If it does well, wonderful. As a blogger who wants to generate income, you should always be experimenting with new income streams. If you havent tried anything new in six months, youre almost certainly missing some golden opportunities. Every blog is different, so you need to test things for yourself to see what works for you. Failure is impossible here you either succeed, or you learn something.
Pick your niche, but make sure it isnt too small
Pick a niche for your blog where you have some significant expertise, but make sure its a big enough niche that you can build significant traffic. My wife runs a popular vegan web site. She does pretty well within her niche, but its just not a very big niche. On the other hand, my topic of personal development has much broader appeal. Potentially anyone can be interested in improving themselves, and I have the flexibility to write about topics like productivity, self-discipline, relationships, spirituality, health, and more. Its all relevant to personal development.
Pick a niche that youre passionate about. Ive written 400+ articles so far, and I still feel like Im just getting started. Im not feeling burnt out at all. I chose to build a personal development site because Im very knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about this subject. I couldnt imagine a better topic for me to write about.
Dont pick a niche just because you think it will make you money. I see many bloggers try to do that, and its almost invariably a recipe for failure. Think about what you love most, and then find a way to make your topic appealing to a massive global audience. Consider what will provide genuine value to your visitors. Its all about what you can give.
A broad enough topic creates more potential advertising partners. If I keep writing on the same subtopic over and over, I may exhaust the supply of advertisers and hit an income ceiling. But by writing on many different topics under the same umbrella, I widen the field of potential advertisers. And I expand the appeal of my site at the same time.
Make it clear to your visitors what your blog/site is about. Often I visit a blog with a clever title and tagline that reveals nothing about the sites contents. In that case I generally assume its just a personal journal and move on. I love to be clever too, but Ive found that clarity yields better results than cleverness.
Posting frequency and length
Bloggers have different opinions about the right posting length and frequency. Some bloggers say its best to write short (250-750 word) entries and post 20x per week or more. Ive seen that strategy work for some, but I decided to do pretty much the opposite. I usually aim for about 3-5 posts per week, but my posts are much longer (typically 1000-2000 words, sometimes longer than 5000 words, including the monster youre reading right now). Thats because rather than throwing out lots of short tips, I prefer to write more exhaustive, in-depth articles. I find that deeper articles are better at generating links and referrals and building traffic. Its true that fewer people will take the time to read them, but those that do will enjoy some serious take-away value. I dont believe in creating disposable content just to increase page views and ad impressions. If Im not truly helping my visitors, Im wasting their time.
Expenses
Blogging is dirt cheap.
I dont spend money on advertising or promotion, so my marketing expenses are nil. Essentially my content is my marketing. If you like this article, youll probably find many more gems in the archives.
My only real expenses for this site are the hosting (I currently pay $149/month for the web server and bandwidth) and the domain name renewal ($9/year). Nearly all of the income this site generates is profit. This trickles down to my personal income, so of course its subject to income tax. But the actual business expenses are minimal.
The reason I pay so much for hosting is simply due to my traffic. If my traffic were much lower, I could run this site on a cheap shared hosting account. A database-driven blog can be a real resource hog at high traffic levels. The same goes for online forums. As traffic continues to increase, my hosting bill will go up too, but it will still be a tiny fraction of total income.
Perks
Depending on the nature of your blog, you may be able to enjoy some nice perks as your traffic grows. Almost every week I get free personal development books in the mail (for potential review on this site). Sometimes the author will send it directly; other times the publisher will ship me a batch of books. I also receive CDs, DVDs, and other personal development products. Its hard to keep up sometimes (I have a queue of about two dozen books right now), but I am a voracious consumer of such products, so I do plow through them as fast as I can. When something strikes me as worthy of mention, I do indeed write up a review to share it with my visitors. I have very high standards though, so I review less than 10% of what I receive. Ive read over 700 books in this field and listened to dozens of audio programs, so Im pretty good at filtering out the fluff. As Im sure you can imagine, theres a great deal of self-help fluff out there.
My criteria for reviewing a product on this site is that it has to be original, compelling, and profound. If it doesnt meet these criteria, I dont review it, even if theres a generous affiliate program. Im not going to risk abusing my relationship with my visitors just to make a quick buck. Making money is not my main motivation for running this site. My main motivation is to grow and to help others grow, so that always comes first.
Your blog can also gain you access to certain events. A high-traffic blog becomes a potential media outlet, so you can actually think of yourself as a member of the press, which indeed you are. In a few days, my wife and I will be attending a three-day seminar via a free press pass. The regular price for these tickets is $500 per person. Ill be posting a full review of the seminar next week. Ive been to this particular seminar in 2004, so I already have high expectations for it. Dr. Wayne Dyer will be the keynote speaker.
Im also using the popularity of this blog to set up interviews with people Ive always wanted to learn more about. This is beautifully win-win because it creates value for me, my audience, and the person being interviewed. Recently I posted an exclusive interview with multi-millionaire Marc Allen as well as a review of his latest book, and Im lining up other interviews as well. It isnt hard to convince someone to do an interview in exchange for so much free exposure.
Motivation
I dont think youll get very far if money is your #1 motivation for blogging. You have to be driven by something much deeper. Money is just frosting. Its the cake underneath that matters. My cake is that I absolutely love personal development not the phony fast and easy junk you see on infomercials, but real growth that makes us better human beings. Thats my passion. Pouring money on top of it just adds more fuel to the fire, but the fire is still there with or without the money.
Whats your passion? What would you blog about if you were already set for life?
Blogging lifestyle
Perhaps the best part of generating income from blogging is the freedom it brings. I work from home and set my own hours. I write whenever Im inspired to write (which for me is quite often). Plus I get to spend my time doing what I love most working on personal growth and helping others do the same. Theres nothing Id rather do than this.
Perhaps its true that 99 out of 100 people cant make a decent living from blogging yet. But maybe youre among the 1 in 100 who can.
On the other hand, I can offer you a good alternative to recommend if you dont have the technical skills to build a high-traffic, income-generating blog. Check out Build Your Own Successful Online Business for details.

Essentially, sprint workouts have been getting press over the last ten years or so because they torch fat: it's been proven that alternating periods of short, intense effort (like running uphill at full tilt) with periods of lower effort (or even full rest) is actually much more time-effective than your typical steady-state, half-hour jog around the neighborhood when it comes to burning fat.
Basically that's because your metabolism stays elevated for an extended period (sometimes up to two days!) following a sprint workout (this is called "EPOC" or excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), whereas it falls back to normal shortly after a steady-state workout.
There's also some indication that long, slow distance workouts (called LSD by endurance athletes) may be catabolic--meaning that they cost you precious muscle tissue--and that sprint workouts, due to their brevity and intensity, may actually help build muscle. I don't put too much stock in this, but as a loose example you can check out the very muscular physiques of sprinters as compared to the lean, waiflike appearance of distance runners.
I've been guilty in the past of making the leap that sprinting is therefore muscle-building and that long-distance running is muscle-wasting, but the only real conclusion you can safely draw is that sprinting probably doesn't cause muscle loss and that long-distance running probably doesn't promote muscle gain.
Functionally speaking, I like sprints because they feel more 'lifelike'--more applicable to sport and to any possible emergency that is likely to arise in life. I feel great after sprinting, whereas I usually feel pretty beat up after a long run. The workouts are over quickly, and you can progress them fairly easily (increase repetitions, grade of incline, weight of kettlebells, distance covered in a given time interval). This is not true of LSD workouts, which require that you run further and further each time out--presumably until you're running or cycling or swimming all day, every day.
These workouts make a great complement to strength-training, in part because the maximal acceleration associated with sprinting activates the same high-threshold muscle units as intense strength training. It's also less likely that interval work interferes with muscle-building efforts the way that LSD training (some studies have indicated) can.
I like doing some kind of sprint work two or three times a week in addition to my work in the weight room. It helps with body composition, certainly, but I also think it improves general athleticism, particularly if you're able to incorporate a variety of full-speed upper- and lower-body movements, directional changes and/or climbing movements into the workouts.
Here's how to put together a garden-variety interval-training workout:
1) choose a modality, then
2) choose a work-rest interval and repetitions.
As ever, you want to choose your modality based on your goals: if you're concerned about lower-body strength and appearance, you might want to choose running or stair climbing or hill sprints; if you compete in a sport, you might consider an interval workout that resembles something you do on the playing field, like shuttle running or agility drills with cones. If you swim, bike, or run competitively, interval training will make you faster and stronger in races.
For general fitness, I'd suggest mixing it up: run one day, swim another, go to a park and design yourself a mini-agility/obstacle course on another. If you're not trying to master one particular sport, it's better to stay general and not focus in on one type of workout.
